The twenty-sixth volume of the respected series, published since 1999, was prepared by editor Jan Schindler with the theme Slow Buildings.

Yearbook Czech Architecture / Czech Architecture is the longest continuously published series on contemporary Czech architecture. It has been published annually since 1999 and for more than a quarter of a century has become a respected source of information about the very best that is being created in Czech architectural work.

The 26th volume, which maps the period 2024–2025, will be published in June 2026 by ARCHIZOOM BOOKS for Prostor – architecture, interior, design, o.p.s.

The editor of the Yearbook Czech Architecture 2024–2025 is architect Jan Schindler from the Prague studio Schindler Seko architects, who is known for his rational and contextual approach to architecture.

The graphic design of the publication is the responsibility of the renowned Czech typographer and book designer Martin Pecina, who has long been dedicated to his craft and whose work has been several times awarded in the competition for the Most Beautiful Czech Books of the Year.

Yearbook launch 2026

We launched the yearbook during the design and architecture festival Rohan Design District in Prague on Rohanské nábřeží.

During the opening evening in the premises of the Karlín Invalidovna, which officially opened the third edition of the festival, there was also a ceremonial christening of the already 26th edition of the publication Yearbook Czech Architecture 2024–2025. For this edition, the editor was architect Jan Schindler from the studio Schindler Seko architects, who ceremonially handed over the symbolic baton on stage to the new editor of the next yearbook – architect David Chisholm. The book was christened together with the project founder Eva Jiřičná, representatives of the association Prostor – architecture, interior, design, publisher Radek Váňa and the editorial team. The entire atmosphere of the evening was underscored by an original evening performance by the quartet The Affogato.
